What’s the game plan?

American corporations have a record $2 trillion in cash, but are not using it to create jobs, only to earn more money for themselves. Republicans in Congress will consider any attempt to increase jobs, help the economy, or deal with the national debt only if it is accompanied by reduced spending and not if it also includes increased government income, particularly from corporations and the wealthy (who are now paying taxes at historically low rates and percentages).

Could it be that corporations and the Republican Party do not want to create more jobs, aid the economy or work toward reducing the national debt? Are they hoping that conditions will deteriorate so badly that in the 2012 election, the Republicans (with massive financial support from corporations) will sweep into the White House and gain control of both the House and the Senate?

Are the corporations then expecting most government regulations to be removed from them, and from oil and mining companies, the environment, financial institutions, and the like? And are the Republicans then intending to impose their extreme ultraconservative tea party agenda on the entire country?

Just asking.
