Verner’s vengeance?

We’ve had a sudden rash of water rate hikes lately, including the new so-called tabled rate system. I seem to recall that a couple of years ago Mayor Verner wanted to impose an even-odd watering program on homeowners. Of course, city facilities were exempt from this program. I also seem to recall a bit of public outcry against this idea.

Jump forward a couple of years and we have these new water rate hikes. Call it what you will, needed for infrastructure or whatever. The City Council voted for and approved these rate hikes. I call this Verner’s vengeance against those who were opposed to the even-odd watering program, and this is something I’ll take into consideration during the upcoming elections.
