Whoa, we’re halfway there
COUGARS
FROM PULLMAN — Anything for a Bon Jovi reference. WSU will surpass the halfway point of spring football practice with a scrimmage later this afternoon at Martin Stadium. As usual, we’ll be there. For now, your daily dose of links and whatnot.
…
For those who plan to attend, practice will be at 1:10 p.m. instead of 10:10 a.m., a change that was made a couple days ago. I’m told this will be more of a full-blown scrimmage than the semi-scrimmage we saw a week ago. … Our story wrapping up WSU’s basketball season — and looking ahead to next year — ran in today’s newspaper . And for those still wondering about the status of Brock Motum (the paragraph first mentioning him in my story should have been updated — that’s my fault), WSU said Friday that nothing has changed and Motum still plans to return for his senior season. No surprise at all there. … We also posted some video on the blog yesterday of walk-on receiver Drew Loftus, a Kennewick native. … CougCenter takes a look at the Air Raid’s installation speed . … A scouting report of the Cougars from Fox Sports West. … Howie Stalwick also wraps up WSU’s basketball season. … Ted Miller answered a question about WSU in his mailbag, but I’ll let Vince link that, because I’m that nice.
Elsewhere around the Pac-12 … An Arizona linebacker is getting an early start to his college career. … De’Anthony Thomas is about to blow up for Oregon, though he remains humble . Interesting story here about Oregon’s plans for its offensive line groupings. … All of UW’s defensive coaches are wearing new colors . … Stanford has holes to fill on its offensive line. … Utah should be tested by today’s scrimmage. … A basketball link from Colorado, where Andre Roberson wants an award next season that he thought he’d won this year. … USC got the worst news possible on the knee injury of running back Tre Madden. He’s out for the season.
Your wildcard link … Saw this on SportsCenter last night and was reminded that baseball players are, quite simply, a different breed.
All for now. We’ll be back after WSU’s scrimmage.
