Titanic Passenger Was Idaho Bound

Was anybody aboard the Titanic on April 14, 1912, from Idaho? There were 2,224 people aboard the R.M.S. Titanic that fateful night when the “unsinkable” pride of the White Star Line struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic. (Exact passenger and crew figures are unknown.) The ship was on its maiden voyage. One passenger from Finland was headed for Idaho. He was Antti Wilhelm Sivola, a 21-year-old “general labourer” who boarded the Titanic in Southampton, England, as a passenger in the third class section. The passenger list records his hometown as Mountain Home. Why was he headed for Idaho? Had he ever been there before? Did he have relatives or friends in Idaho who urged him to come? Antti Sivola was from Strmfors, a town in southern Finland 57 miles from Helsinki. The ship’s records show that he paid one pound, 18 shillings and six-pence for his ticket. That would be about 680 in today’s money/ Syd Albright , Coeur d’Alene Press. More here . Question: Has circumstance ever kept you from a misfortune that befell others?
