Coeur d’Alene Held Hostage, Day 9: Looks like we got a peek at the Souza-Sims-Orzell recall strategy last night — work the right-wing of the dysfunctional county Republican Party for signatures. It worked to grab 2 seats on the current Coeur d’Alene City Council — and could work to grab important county courthouse seats, like sheriff and prosecutor, this fall. As former Lt. Gov. Jack Riggs said at the first anti-recall meeting, we can’t think in terms of Republicans and Democrats in Coeur d’Alene if we’re going to stop the attempted overthrow of city government.
