Intolerance, indeed

I continue to be amazed at the response of homosexual and lesbian advocates when Christians make statements supporting their faith. The recent flare-up over Chick-fil-A is a case in point. President Dan Cathy simply made the statement that he supports the biblical view of marriage, which is between a man and a woman, and that he is married to his first wife (is that bad?).

From what I can see, he said nothing negative about homosexuals or lesbians. And yet he is being castigated as bigoted and intolerant. I find it ironic that Philadelphia Councilman James F. Kenney told Cathy, “So, please take a hike and take your intolerance with you.” Who is the intolerant one in that exchange?
