Noon: Babies, Cigs Don’t Mix
We went to a local small-town festival today. It was a ton of fun and the weather was perfect. Great, right? Well, first, some woman smoking a cigarette TOUCHED OUR NEWBORN DAUGHTER. While smoking. I don’t
mean to ruffle feathers but that is not OK with me. Handsome Nick, who was carrying Penelope in a chest carrier, just walked away from her. I didn’t realize she was smoking at first so I kept chatting and wondered why he left so abruptly. Yes, it was a public place and smoking was certainly allowed so we avoided the few people smoking. But don’t you know you shouldn’t touch a baby while doing it? Then, we were eating dinner on the patio of a restaurant down the street from the festival. There were three tables. We were sitting at one on the end. Halfway through our meal, a group of people stood next to our table, and one was smoking. Gross/
