Huckleberries hears from an inside Berry Picker: ” Bobby Brett (owner of the Spokane Chiefs and Spokane Indians) and Irv Zakheim will be at the Cd’A Parks and Rec meeting (in the old City Hall council chambers) at noon today to talk about bringing a summer collegiate baseball team to Cd’A to play. The new 15th Cherry Hill “Field of Dreams” field will be their home stadium once the money is raised/pledged and it is constructed. It will be a Coeur d’Alene-named team and be part of the West Coast League and consist of some of the top collegiate baseball players in the country. Should be an interesting meeting” Stay tuned.
