Wild Card Monday - 8.20.12
On this day in history, the Civil War in 1866, was officially declared to be over (even though fighting had stopped months earlier). In 1967, the NY Times reported about a noise reduction system that was developed for audio recordings developed by R. and D.W. Dolby. In 1998, the U.S. attacked a terrorist camp in Afghanistan and a chemical plant in the Sudan because of their connection to Osama Bin Laden. Plus, this is also the day that both DFO and Cindy are on separate (not sure how equal) vacations, so I get to fill. You will have me through Wednesday, then it will be Cindy for blog posts about cats and firemen. If you have suggestions, tips, rants or raves in the next couple of days, you can email me at christahazel@gmail.com. Or post them on this Wild Card.
