Akin: Asks for Forgiveness

U.S. Senate candidate, Rep. Todd Akin (R-Missouri), apolgized yesterday in a video apology posted first on Politico yesterday.  He states in the video, “I used the wrong words in the wrong way” as he referred to his suggestion that “legitimate rape” rarely leads to pregnancy.

Rep. Todd Akin is under mounting pressure from conservatives to withdraw from the Senate race.  He could withdraw but the deadline is 5 pm today (CST).  Akin keeps vowing to stay in the race.  Read more and view the apology here .

Also:  Controversial conservative columnist joins the list of conservatives pushing Akin to withdraw.  ” I won’t hate Todd Akin officially unless he refuses to withdraw from the Missouri Senate race.
