The RR’s Endorse 3 More R’s

The Kootenai County Reagan Republicans officially announced to day their endorsement of three “Yes” votes on the Students Come First education reform referenda and for three candidates in addition to the candidates endorsed in the Republican Primary Election.  In a press release the Reagan Republicans stated,

“We have a large and conservative Board of Directors” said Ron Lahr, President of KCRR, “and we unanimously endorsed these three gentlemen for election. We wholeheartedly agree with the Republican Primary voters that, if elected, they will be excellent officeholders in Boise and in the County Courthouse.”

Jeff Ward, President of the Idaho Federation of Reagan Republicans is happy that KCRR is continuing its steadfast support of education reform in Idaho.  “KCRR took the lead in North Idaho in endorsing Superintendent Tom Luna’s Student Come First program when it was considered and passed by the Legislature. Now we stand firmly with maintaining those reforms and supporting our students with ‘Yes’ votes on the referenda.” Ward noted that the Reagan Republican Victory Fund is already raising funds for an independent expenditure campaign supporting the referenda against the expected attacks by the public employees unions.

The three general election candidates that picked up Reagan Republican endorsements are:

  • State Representative, 2nd District, Seat A: Vito Barbieri

  • State Representative, 3rd District, Seat A: Ron Mendive

  • County Sheriff: Ben Wolfinger

Previous endorsements can be found here but as you might guess, only the R’s received endorsements.

Surprised?
