In Katy’s Memory

The University of Idaho dedicated a memorial to slain student, Katy Benoit, a year after her death.  You may recall Benoit was shot and killed by former University of Idaho professor, Ernesto Bustamante.  Bustamante later committed suicide.

The granite memorial is on the Administration Lawn.  It reads, ” In memory of Katy’s journey, her care for others, her willingness to speak up and her courage to make a difference.”
