Taxes private, but not abortion?

Those of us who are pro-choice are not pro-abortion. We believe women should have dominion over their own body and future.

It is an honorable and noble endeavor to protect the life of every fetus. It is misguided. Either society views women, as a whole, as honest, trustworthy and respected enough to determine their own destiny, or we decide that women are an ignorant, manipulative and irresponsible second-class of citizens who need to be controlled. You cannot have it both ways; control the weak while respecting the responsible.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan believe women need a higher power to make decisions for them. Meanwhile, Romney will not share his financial life with America because he believes it is a privacy issue, and yet he would have women share the most intimate details of a personal trauma to a complete stranger in order to regain some semblance of control.

Go figure. This man has a right to privacy, but he assumes the right to intrude on a woman’s most personal of decisions.
