Woolf names Goicoechea chief deputy state controller

Appoints Dan Goicoechea Chief Deputy
Boise, Idaho – Idaho State Controller Brandon D Woolf announced the appointment of Dan Goicoechea to the post of Chief Deputy Controller. Immediately before his appointment, Mr. Goicoechea served as Vice President over Governmental Affairs and Corporate Affairs for Paris Hills Agricom, and had previously held the Chief Deputy Controller position under former State Controllers Keith Johnson and Donna Jones.
“The citizens of Idaho are fortunate to be served by someone with Dan’s incredible level of experience, commitment to public service, and undeniable integrity,” said State Controller Brandon D Woolf. “Not only am I pleased to welcome him back to the Controller’s office, I’m glad to have his steady hand helping guide our operations.”
“I’m honored by the opportunity to again serve the people of Idaho,” said Mr. Goicoechea. “Mr. Woolf’s administration will be the third under which I’ve served, and I’m committed to help implement Mr. Woolf’s vision of an even more accountable and transparent state government.”
In addition to being Idaho’s chief financial officer and fulfilling other statutory responsibilities, State Controller Brandon D Woolf is charged with making payroll for all state employees, paying the state’s bills, and maintaining the state’s largest data center. State Controller Woolf also serves as the Secretary to the Board of Examiners and as a member of the Idaho State Board of Land Commissioners.
