On the Ed funding not up to snuff thread, TWolf answers the question “What can be done to improve Idaho schools: “Force the parents to be accountable for the effort and behavior of their kids.”

Spudbob asks: “I am guessing that most parents do a good job and that most teachers also do a good job. If you were in charge, how would you deal with the minority in each group who fall way short?”

Replies TWolf: “Pass a law tied to child neglect and those parents who did not make sure that their kids were prepared, behaved, and tried their best would face similar consequences for child neglect.
Raising and educating your child is the number one responsibility a parent has, and to not do so is child neglect.”
