So on the way home I stopped at a gas mart to buy a ticket. The clerk told me good luck and I joked that my odds of winning were greatly enhanced by having a ticket. She laughed and said she hoped she brought me good luck since a year ago she sold the winning Mega Millions ticket worth about $90 million to the Rathdrum bank clerk. I promised her that if I had the winning ticket I’d take her on a tropical cruise. That’s a promise I’d sure enjoy keeping.”
