GU’s Dower makes his points

Gonzaga forward Sam Dower had 20 points and 10 rebounds against Xavier. (Associated Press)

Gonzaga sophomore forward Sam Dower is an offensive force, an accomplished scorer inside and out with a feathery touch. He’s the kind of player that can put up points in hurry (think Austin Daye, Adam Morrison, etc.). He’s also rounding into a more complete player as he’s taken strides defensively and rebounding.

I checked in with Dower and Ray Giacoletti, the GU assistant coach who helped recruit the 6-foot-9 Minnesotan, earlier this week and put together this feature that will run in Thursday’s S-R.

Programming note: I’ll be joining Tom Hudson, Richard Fox and host Toby Howell for another edition of GU Roundtable on KGA 1510-AM at 5 tonight. You can tune in on-line at the KGA Website: http://www.1510kga.com/ .
