McEuen plan is the future
Frank Orzell compares (Dec. 23) the Statue of Liberty to porta-potties, two empty softball fields, one empty baseball field, fencing and five acres of blacktop? Wow! And I’ve been to the Statue of Liberty! How did I miss that comparison?
I also don’t remember any “high-rise buildings” in the McEuen plan! Lumber is down, the steamers no longer ply the waters of Coeur d’Alene, the railroad tracks are being removed. It’s a past that is lovingly preserved at the Museum of North Idaho for all to enjoy.
The past is past. Let’s live in the present and plan for our future. The McEuen plan is forward thinking and planning for generations to come. We’ll all benefit!
