Voted against corridor

In a recent email newsletter from U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, she lists the North Spokane Corridor as her No. 1 transportation priority for 2012. She states how important the project is for economic growth, jobs and the connectivity to north, south, east and west.

The North Spokane Corridor received a $35 million grant from the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery Program. This program was a supplementary discretionary grant program funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Like most good right-wing conservative Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives, Cathy voted against the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in January 2009.

One of only three U.S. representatives in the state of Washington to do so. Maybe that explains why she wasn’t invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shame on you, Cathy!
