Hump Day Wild Card — 1.18.12

The showdown over proposed changes to McEuen Field played out as predicted last night, in terms of the final vote — 4-3 with Mayor Sandi Bloem casting the tie-breaker. But the silver lining to the overdue discussion, triggered by Councilman Ron Edinger’s motion, is that the prevailing side is willing to compromise on the plan. If I have time later this morning, I’ll tell you why that’s a big win for Coeur d’Alene. For now, I’m as busy as the one-armed paper hanger, per usual.
