God has spoken on this

Regarding your Jan. 6 editorial “What’s the harm” with same-sex marriages, you should be asking “why” such insistence on same-sex marriage? When divorce is so prevalent, when living together in a heterosexual relationship sans marriage is commonplace, why must gays be so insistent on marriage?

Lest we forget, our own nation was founded by Christians. The Bible was their compass. Our country has lost its moral compass. As a nation we still embrace “In God we trust” and “One nation under God.” Are we now to believe same-sex marriage is what God intended? In my Bible, I find no sanction whatsoever of same-sex marriage.

So what’s the harm? The harm is the government placing into law something many are opposed to on moral principles. God has blessed this country. If we want that to continue we must study to show ourselves approved unto Him.

Is this issue a problem in our country? Yes, it is, and you, S-R, are part of the problem.
