Boss Denney Limits Public Access
The renovated Idaho Capitol opened more than two years ago with secluded office space for lawmakers. Now
that seclusion is limiting public access to House lawmakers. Last week, House Speaker Lawerence Denney, R-Midvale, ordered that all access points to House lawmakers’ offices be secured and locked to the general public. Meetings with House lawmakers must now be scheduled and visitors are required to check in with security before entering the office areas. This is a break of process from the prior two sessions in the Capitol building. For the past two years, visitors could come and go as they pleased in order to meet with lawmakers/
