The Spokane Chiefs have made beating the top teams in the Western Hockey League look easy in January. They’ve struggled against the teams stuck in the basement. That changed - at least on Wednesday night - as the Chiefs beat the cellar-dwelling Everett Silvertips 4-2 .

Spokane has won 9 of its last 11 games and brings a four-game winning streak home as they face Portland on Friday night at the Arena.
