Teacher of the year

I will cast my vote for Jennifer Walther for teacher of the year. Not only is she a very gifted teacher at Ferris High School but is highly respected by her students, past and present.

The Spokesman-Review Dec. 15 article, “District investigating Ferris debate,” suggested that District 81 and the SEA (teacher’s union) that Jennifer Walther injected her own political views into the questions that the students had asked of the candidates. Currently, Spokane Public Schools is under investigation by the Public Disclosure Commission for the potential violations and irregularities stemming since last summer.

With all the slings and arrows that this great teacher had to take, I will ask Kevin Foster, Ferris High School principal, to put her name in for teacher of the year.
