Huckleberries Hears …

… That Avista Chairman/CEO Scott Morris traveled to Sandpoint recently to personally apologize to two Legislative District 1 candidates targeted by his utility for defeat in the GOP primary in May. Morris met at a Sandpoint restaurant with the entire District 1 delegation, although Avista donated money only to Tea Party opponents for state Sen. Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint, and state Rep. George Eskridge, R-Dover. State Rep. Eric Anderson, R-Priest River, also sat in on the meeting. Prior to the election, Betsy Russell/SR reported: “Campaign finance reports filed with the Idaho Secretary of State show Avista has given each incumbent’s challenger $1,000 and has given $15,000 to three political action committees that are funneling money back to the challengers, Danielle Ahrens and Pam Stout. The PACS are also sponsoring independent mailers and advertisements critical of Keough and Eskridge.” More here.

Question: What would you do if you were in the shoes of Sen. Keough or Rep. Eskridge re: Avista’s apology?
