KCRR To Fight ‘Identity Theft’

After three years of hard work building our organization and our reputation, people purporting to be Republicans have attempted to steal our name and our trademark.  For unabashed political purposes our opponents have attempted a legal maneuver to silence us. They have resorted to trickery and deceit. KCRR was founded in July of 2009 under the auspices of, and in accordance with, the Idaho Uniform Unincorporated Nonprofit Association Act and has since established common-law service trademarks by the use of the names “Kootenai County Reagan Republicans”, “KCRR”, “Idaho Federation of Reagan Republicans” and “Reagan Republicans.” In late April and early May persons with a vendetta against our organization filed incorporation papers with the Idaho Secretary of State infringing on our name and our trademarks. They then served us with a letter demanding we cease using our own name or face lawsuits. They have attempted to steal our name and reputation and use it against us. The “real” Kootenai County Reagan Republicans will not let this stand.
