RR2: No Kumbaya Moments Here
ReaganRepub2
, responding to a post by Jennifer Locke calling for unification of the warring Reagan Republicans and United Conservatives of North Idaho wings of the county Republican Party: “I do agree with Jennifer that we should all unite. That is what our club has been working towards for the last four years until
UCNI pushed the division much like the Democrats ” if you don’t agree with US then YOU are being divisive!”. We even let them go ahead of us at the July 4th parade. Two years ago we elected the unhappy Ron Paulers to Central Committee offices in order to unite conservatives, I agree that we should focus on what we have in common and not on what divides us. Recently however at the reorganizing of the Committee the slim majority of UCNI committeeman were organized to vote in lockstep for ONLY their group to hold EVERY elected position and delegate except in the case of District 4 where the original republicans had just enough votes to put three in. That was the thanks they showed us for reaching out to them. This was a HOSTILE takeover. And now they want us to shut up and let them have their way. Sound familiar?”
Question: Which wing of the local Republican Party is more responsible for the schism of the local party — Reagan Republicans or United Conservatives of North Idaho?
