Health care too expensive

In regards to all of the letters concerning health care, I agree something needs to be done. But what?

Here’s our story. My wife and I are now a one-salary family due to circumstances beyond our control. We are both getting a bit long in the tooth. My wife just got her hours cut from 40 a week to 30-35 per week at $13.90 an hour. We do not live high on the hog, and because she is now considered part time, we most likely will lose our insurance within the next year. Her take-home is about $1,200-$1,400 per month. Our expenses are $900-$1,200 per month.

I have shopped around for health care. Cost for full coverage, and that’s what we need at our age, is $800 and up depending on our condition. I am in pretty bad shape, so you can see it would be much more. You do the math as I did. We have had paid insurance from the get-go, but everyone has gotten so greedy that it has become a luxury item the lower class cannot afford.

Just had to vent.
