M’s trade Ichiro to Yankees

Couldn’t let this pass by without posting here. Long-time Mariners’ star Ichiro has been traded to the Yankees for a couple minor leaguers and cash. The M’s right-fielder will change clubhouses today, as New York is in Seattle for a three-game series. It seems Ichiro requested a trade a while ago and is fine with the development, though he was emotional at the farewell press conference. We’ll have more in the morning of course. Until then …
