St. Maries Man Hurt Saving Others
A St. Maries man suffered injuries after he guided a runaway snowmobile away from a crowd at the annual Summer Sucks Grass Drags Saturday. Dan Reynolds sustained a broken arm, a broken jaw and lacerations on his leg after a snowmobile crashed into a parked pickup truck. “He started up a snowmobile and it took off at wide open throttle,” Mr. Reynolds’ father, Randy, said. “There was something mechanical that went wrong with it.” Randy said his son saw that the snowmobile was headed toward a group of people and so he tried to jump on it to stop it. “He was drug along the side of it,” Randy said. “It was headed toward a crowd, but he managed to get it to turn and it ended up hitting a pickup.” Dale Hill said the sled was headed toward a group of 10 to 15 people before Mr. Reynolds turned it away/ Summer Crosby , St. Maries Gazette Record.
