Support fire levy

The Spokane Valley Fire Department’s maintenance and operations levy is the best investment you could make in protecting the health and safety of you and your family.

Our Valley department has been exemplary in bringing high quality, modern emergency medical care to our citizens in their time of need. In the over 30 years that I lived in the Spokane Valley, I have seen our fire department make continual advances in the level of emergency care we can count on in a matter of minutes. Our Valley Fire Department has achieved a high level of performance as a result of ideal chemistry of their leadership, training and high quality of the individuals selected to fulfill their mission.

The final element necessary is citizen support for the levy that funds their life-saving operations. As we approach our national election, there continues to be a lot of talk about health care reform, and I will share with you that even as a physician, I am uncertain what that means. However, I have no doubt that supporting our Valley Fire Department with a yes vote on this levy will help ensure their continued ability to provide an essential life-saving service.
