City Clerk Announces Resignation
Long-time Coeur d’Alene City Clerk Susan Weathers has announced that she will retire next Jan. 3. Weathers
will tender her resignation tonight to the Coeur d’Alene City Council. Renata McLeod is expected to fill the vacancy created by Weathers’ retirement. In an email to HucksOnline, Weathers wrote: “This plan is to provide Renata the time to work with me to learn the responsibilities of being both the Municipal Services Director and City Clerk. The City has known of my plans to retire since 2010.” Weathers referred to her decision to resign as one of life’s “bittersweet moments.”
