Katee Nauert, 25, and her fiancee, Alejandro Ventura, 32, along with their dog, Pedro, 2, run part of their 3-mile trek through the Duncan Gardens in Manito Park on Monday. The garden was named after John Duncan, who was the City Parks Superintendent. He retired in 1942. It was orginally called the sunken gardens because the site was lowered from removing the rich topsoil for use in other parks. (Dan Pelle SR photo)
