Sara, Jennifer Inspect Scan Machine
Sara Meyer:
Jennifer Drake and I just got back from the copy/scanner inspection. Susan Weathers did a great
job of explaining the scanning process of the petitions. Susan is doing everything she can to be as open and transparent as possible. The main concern seemed to be that one of the petitions might get jammed or damaged during the copying process. The petitions will not be photo copied; they will be scanned so this should hopefully eliminate that concern. The scanned copies will then be put onto a CD which will be given to RecallCdA, Stop the Recall and the Press. Susan also stated they will run about 100 petitions through the machine at a time, which is about what the scanner hopper will hold. Jennifer Drake and I will be there Monday morning to observe the whole scanning process. Can’t wait!
Question: Am I the only one who thinks that volunteers inspecting a scanning machine is silly? I mean, how do you inspect a scanning machine if you’re not some sort of a tech? Did it get the Bill McCrory USDA seal of approval?
