Despite drizzling rain, winds and grey skies, dozens of Priest Lake youngsters (like the one above being helped with her line) showed up for the Free Fishing Derby for Kids at the “POND” at Priest Lake Golf Course, posts Pecky Cox/As the Lake Churns. “The annual event is sponsored by the “Priest Lake Sportsman Club” and has been occurring for 22 years. The pond was stocked with 1000 hungry trout donated by Idaho Fish & Game Department. The kids attending were given a free rod and reel, free t-shirt along with bait, hot dogs and gift bag.” More here.
