Public hearings in Fairfield tonight

The Spokane Valley City Council isn’t meeting tonight because several council members are attending the Association of Washington Cities annual conference, but that hasn’t stopped the Fairfield City Council from having a full meeting tonight. There will be public hearings on the city’s draft six year Transportation Improvment Plan and a proposed sewer ordinance. There will also be further discussion on where to put a recycling bin, which has turned into a hot topic. There will also be updates on the summer lunch program and the summer swim program. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Fairfield City Hall, 218 E. Main.
