Weekend Wild Card — 6.23-24.12

The old bike course for Ironman Coeur d’Alene was a pain because it divided the Coeur d’Alene-Hayden area. But I’m going to miss one aspect of it, now that the bikes are detoured onto Highway 95, south of the Lake City. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the Coeur d’Alene Bible Church members who provided free burgers, dogs and picnic spread as bikers pedaled by on Fourth Street. Still, it’s nice to know that the city will have Ironman at least another five years after this one. Now for your weekend Wild Card …
