Huckleberries Hears …

… That there is a big battle going on between the governor and UI alums because Butch has seen fit to reappoint Milford Terrell to the state board of education. Terrell has already served 8 years and, as a ha-huge  Boise State booster (past booster club president, etc), has been an obstacle to cooperation between the schools. Rumor has it that he was the one who pushed the flagship deal. At any rate the Idaho alums are very upset and first tried through emails and calls to get Butch not to reappoint him but to no avail and now the nomination goes before John Goedde’s education committee for approval and then to the senate floor.
