We had a wild finish to the filing period for congressional and legislative races in Idaho, especially in House District 2, where former legislator Mike Jorgenson and Ron Vieselmeyer tossed their hats in the ring. Four Republicans are trying to take Artful Tax Dodger Phil Hart out in the GOPrimary for House District 2B, with Democrat Dan English waiting in the wings if they trip over one another and Hart survives. Jorgenson jumped into a rematch with Steve Vick, who took the state Senate District 2 seat away from him two years ago. Meanwhile, Democrat Kristy Reed Johnson ensured that state Rep. Bob Nonini, R, Coeur d’Alene, will have to answer for his unabashed support of Superintendent of Schools Tom Luna’s online experiment with Idaho schools in the Senate District 3 race.
