Censorship unwarranted

I don’t appreciate The Spokesman-Review censoring the Doonesbury cartoons last week on the required ultrasound legislation in Texas, Virginia, and pending in other states. This is a current political controversy that has special relevance to women in this area because the Idaho Legislature has such a bill in process.

The topic is a legitimate area for Doonesbury and other satirists to explore. Doonesbury is one of the very few reasons I continue to subscribe to your paper. Running an old strip this week is a sneaky way to censor this topic. The least you could do is to be honest about what you are doing. It makes me wonder what else you are censoring, apparently for our own good.
