Mansfield: IEA Is Hard-Union Minded

Dennis Mansfield (RE: Why is Luna hanging out? ): Recalls should be used ONLY when something so terrible has happened that it cannot be remedied at the next election. The use (or threat of the use) by citizens who oppose this candidate or that one is unreasonable. People lose. (Heck, I know that!) and we move ahead as a “civil” constituency, honoring the winners and debating their policies. Recalling them is not a part of that discussion - or at least it should not be. The NEA and IEA are blue with rage over what Tom Luna has been able to accomplish. Their behavior, as a political organization is extremely unacceptable. I’ve debated them for years and find that there is a hard-union mentality among the leadership. And this doesn’t reflect, on the whole, either the members or other non-union teachers, who work so hard for the kids.

Question: Do you think the Idaho Education Association has a “hard-union mentality”?
