Jorgenson Passes On Spirit Lake Forum

Mike Jorgenson, a candidate for the state Senate District 2 seat held by Steve Vick, sent this letter to organizers of a Spirit Lake candidates’ forum: “I will not be attending the Spirit Lake candidate forum.  The practice of pre-determining which candidates are acceptable to you based on extreme views that include, in some cases, tax evasion, is reprehensible to me.  I doubt my message of inclusiveness, reason and service to the community at large would be well received by you, the organizers of this event.  My candidacy is appealing to a large constituency, many of whom are interested in the bills I have authored and worked on diligently to get passed into law.  Many groups and individuals have been asking for my time and I am compelled, in the interest of disseminating accurate information, to meet with those folks.  The simple truth is always my priority.”
