Chief Allan Wins 3rd 3-Year Term
Over the weekend, Coeur d’Alene tribal members cast their votes to fill three open Coeur d’Alene Tribal Council positions. Chief J. Allan was again re-elected to the Tribal Council, receiving the most votes of any candidate in the election. First elected to the Council in 2003, this will be Allan’s fourth consecutive three-year term. “I am so honored and humbled to be able to serve my people and my Tribe for another three years. More work lies ahead for us but I am grateful to be a part of our will to govern ourselves and determine our own destiny,” Allan said. The tribal voters also elected Donald E. Sczenski and Leta L. Campbell to fill the other two open seats. Leta Campbell has previously served two terms on Tribal Council and is looking forward to serving the Tribe once again. More here.
