Email Targets Hart’s Voting Record

The following email is making the rounds in local Republican circles today: “We’ve all heard about Phil Hart’s tax evasion issues.  However, Phil Hart is more than just a tax protestor.  His narrow ideology leads him to cast some peculiar, and in some cases, appalling votes in the Idaho legislature. In 2011, he was one of only three representatives to vote against House Bill 234, which improved reporting requirements for sex offenders living near Idaho schools and made it more difficult for them to loiter or troll for victims near schools.  Protecting registered sex offenders instead of school children?  That’s Phil Hart. He was also one of only 16 House members (out of 70) to vote against a bill that would have evicted Occupy Boise from state property adjacent to the Capitol, after they’d been “camping” there for several months.  Why does Phil Hart side with the Occupy movement, which is decidedly anti-capitalist, pro-anarchy and Marxist?” More here.

Question: I find this information targeting Rep. Phil Hart’s voting record, rather than his tax troubles, refreshing. How about you?
