Measuring Up To Idaho GOP

In his Monday editorial, Marty Trillhaase listed several planks of the Idaho Republican Party. According to hardliners, you need to sign off on the entire platform to be an Idaho Republican in good standing. So let’s take these planks one step at a time. On June 26, 2010, one of the planks adopted at the state GOP convention was this (and Marty paraphrases):

Having state lawmakers, instead of you, selecting Idaho’s two U.S. senators — something tht hasn’t occurred since the 17th Amendment was adopted 99 years ago to clean up rampant corruption in the Senate.

Question: Would you rather vote for Idaho’s U.S. senators yourself or allow the supermajority Republican Idaho Legislature do so?
