A Dirty Trick In Recall Effort?

Looks like our friends at OpenCDA.com are jumping to conclusions re: a dirty trick pulled by someone on a Recaller’s house in Coeur d’Alene. Bill McCrory assumes that this act of vandalism was performed by an anti-recall proponent. I received this message from Sara Meyer of the Stop the Recall movement this afternoon: “Someone took a bunch of Decline to Sign signs and put them in the yard of the home on 3rd St. that has all the recall signs.  This happened last night between midnight and 6 a.m.  I heard about this earlier today and went to his house to pick up the signs.  (The homeowner) was outside when I got there so I introduced myself and told him that I was one of the co-chairs of the decline to sign group.  I chatted with him and told him that we were really sorry about this and that we hoped it was not someone associated with the our group.  I also told him that we are all entitled to our opinions and I respect his and we would in no way want to be disrespectful to him.  He was decent but told me he called the cops and Press so I couldn’t take the signs with me but could come get them later. We do not condone this and we hope people will be respectful of everyone’s opinion.” You can see OpenCDA.com photos here.

Question: Is this a bigger gotcha than anti-Recaller who taped a Recall petitioner lying about facts to get petition signatures? Why? Why not?
