Idaho GOP Platform: Gold Standard

Thanks to Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune, we began breaking down the Idaho GOP platform. Yesterday, we looked at the Republicans desire to disenfranchise Idaho voters by allowing the Legislature to pick Idaho’s U.S. senators (repeal of the 17th Amendment). Today, we’ll focus on Idaho Republicans’ support for a return to the gold standard. Marty describes the plank: “Abolishing the Federal Reserve and restoring the gold and silver standard.
