Anti-Recallers Schedule ‘Cash Mob’

Sara Meyer and Jennifer Drake of the Stop the Recall movement are organizing a “cash mob” from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Friday (in conjunction with the monthly ArtWalk) at two downtown businesses that were targeted by an anonymous postcard, denouncing their stands. In an email, the organizers explain that a “cash mob” is like a “flash mob,” except participants are invited to visit a store and express their support through a purchase or statement of support. The two businesses that are the focus of Friday’s “cash mob” are Tiffany Blue and Sports Cellar (404 & 402 E. Sherman Ave.). The organizers say Decline to Sign yard signs will be available, adding: “We will be doing this at businesses around town a couple times a week until this recall madness is over.”
