Huckleberries Online has received this breakdown from an insider re: the new formation of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee: “It is essentially tied (between the Real Reagan Republicans and the Rally Right/Ron Paulers). In contested races Reagan Republicans won 19 and UCNI/Rally Right won 15. In non-contested (UCNI/Rally Right) won 16 and (RRR) won 12. That leaves 31 to 31 with 6 others who have ties to both groups and 2 vacancies.

Question: How come the UCNI/Rally Right group does well at winning precinct seats but so poorly in backing winners in legislative/county races?
