Update: State Controller in critical condition
BOISE — State Controller Donna Jones was injured in a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 84 Friday afternoon in Minidoka County.
Just before 1 p.m., Idaho State Police say Jones was westbound at mile post 216 near Heyburn, when for unknown reasons her Cadillac Escalade went off the highway. She over-corrected and the SUV rolled. She was wearing a seatbelt.
Jones was taken by ambulance to to Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert, and later transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Brandon Woolf, her chief of staff, says the 73-year-old was conscious, aware and communicating with emergency responders. Her injuries are not life-threatening. More here
